Beta Reading

Beta reading involves me reading your book as a reader. This means I read it one time through and leave limited in-line comments that focus on reader response (i.e. how I'm interpreting the text) rather than editorial feedback (i.e. suggestions for revision). Expect roughly one comment per 2000 words. I will provide a 1-3 page letter summarizing my response.

Beta reading does not involve suggestions for improvement, line or paragraph level feedback, or flagging writing errors. If you are interested in that type of feedback, I am happy to discuss more in-depth services with you. You may also opt to add a free sample edit (1000 words) to this service.
